APTECH personalized voicemail permits you to record an outgoing message for callers to hear when you are unable to answer an incoming call. Voicemail messages include a timestamp so you can determine the time of the call.
APTECH customers also receive an email notification when a caller has left a voicemail message. The message is attached as an audio file which can be forwarded to others or saved for future reference.
For most numbers, we can port your number in as little as eight calendar days from receiving the order with all correct information and documentation. Toll free number portability generally takes two to five weeks. During the process, you can view your number portability status and updates by logging into your Self Service Portal account. APTECH allows you to choose a phone number from any of the available rate centers, regardless of where your APTECH phone will be physically located. Subscribers can request a rate center that is local to those who call them the most. Rate center selection does not affect your APTECH calling rates.
Caller ID with Name allows APTECH subscribers to view an incoming caller's name and phone number on the telephone display screen prior to answering the call. This feature will only work on phones equipped with caller ID capability. In addition, when making a call using your APTECH service, your phone number and name are sent along with your call so the recipient can identify you.
You can prevent your phone number from being displayed by using Caller ID Blocking, a feature that is managed online from a subscriber's account page.
Call Waiting allows callers to reach you even when you are on the phone with another call. You will hear a beep indicating an incoming call. You will then be able to put your current caller on hold and answer the new call. You can continue to alternate between parties as often as you'd like. It's like having two lines while paying for only one.
Call Waiting ID allows your phone to display the number of another caller during an actual call. Call Waiting must be enabled for Call Waiting ID to display. This feature requires that you have a telephone with built-in Caller ID capability and a display or an external Caller ID box with a display.
Review your call history online for all your inbound and outbound calls, including their duration, date, and time. See them online anytime in the APTECH Self Service portal.
Call Return is a service that allows you to automatically call back the last incoming call without having to dial the number.

The Do Not Disturb (DND) feature allows you to disable your phone from receiving incoming calls. If your APTECH voicemail is enabled while the DND feature is activated, all incoming calls will go directly to your voicemail. DND can be activated by simply dialing *78 and deactivated by dialing *79.
Callers who block their identity to avoid being screened by caller ID. Anonymous Call Blocking can be enabled to send incoming calls directly to your voicemail. A modified dial tone is presented to indicate when anonymous call blocking is enabled. Simply dial *77 to activate this service and *87 to deactivate.
APTECH Follow Me, Find Me is a call hunting feature that allows you to enter up to five phone numbers to ring in sequence. For example, you can enter your mobile phone number as well as your office phone number to ring when your APTECH home number is not answered. When a call comes in and you are not at home, the call will cease to ring on the APTECH home number (after ringing the assigned number of times) and then move on to ring the mobile phone. Then if there is no response there, the call moves on to ring your office number. If there is still no answer, the call can then be guided to your voicemail box.
The Simultaneous Ring feature permits an incoming phone call to ring not only your APTECH number, but also a standard PSTN number along with any other APTECH number(s) simultaneously.
If, for some reason, your Internet connection goes down, you will lose your APTECH phone service until your Internet connection is restored. However, you won't lose callers as they can be automatically forwarded to any other number (like a cell phone) that you have pre-programmed.
